Meet Steven J. Mrozek

Steven J. Mrozek founded Refined Retirement in order to focus his nearly thirty years of experience into serving the two most critical and challenging client needs he encounters, investment strategies and retirement income planning.

In working with retirees and near-retirees, Steve focuses on creating a tax-efficient income stream that will last throughout retirement. Understanding that retirement questions and responsibilities are often complex, interdependent and irrevocable, Steve helps clients with key concerns such as: lump sum vs. annuities, when to begin distributions, safe withdrawal rates, minimizing taxes, maximizing Social Security, and managing ever-volatile investment portfolios with systematic strategies.

Steve developed and refined his proprietary Refined Retirement Review (RRR), a comprehensive retirement planning process consisting of five core segments: income planning, investment planning, tax planning, health care planning and legacy planning. He partners with professionals to provide a seamless and comprehensive solution to all things retirement.

Steve concurrently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of American Financial Services, a comprehensive financial services firm serving clients in eastern Ohio. He oversees the retirement income planning and fee-based investment management strategies.
